Mechanism of hormonal control of genes from the EXPA and DIR family was elucidated. A new mechanism of regulation of biomechanical cell wall properties by EXPA1 was described. New mode of interaction between the cytokinin and ethylene signaling pathways was identified. The mechanism of root growth regulation through spatially specific regulation of ethylene biosynthesis genes was deciphered.
