Interdisciplinary approach to study biological systems at the molecular level

Project goals

Project is focused on innovative integrative biophysical approaches to study proteins involved in host-pathogen interaction. The topics is in line of the COST Action CA15126 focusing on the development of novel methodologies and technologies and help to push existing biophysical instrumentation in novel directions beyond state-of-the-art.

Studium struktury lektinů z lidských, rostlinných a hmyzích patogenů a jejich interakce s biologicky relevantními sacharidy ve vztahu k jejich funkci a terapeutickým možnostem infekčních onemocnění. 2. Studium vztahů mezi termodynamickými a kinetickými parametry biomolekulárních interakcí mezi glykomimetiky a jejich cíli v komunikaci mezi hostitelem a patogenem. 3.     The project was focused on enzymes involved in glycoconjugate syntheses and saccharide-recognising proteins involved in host-pathogen interaction, their inhibition and cell recognition. Planned goals were fulfilled, which resulted in 8 publications in international impacted journals.
