Project results evaluation

We prepared lines of tobacco cell culture BY-2 with inducible silenced expression of auxin oxidase DAO1 and a member of auxin-amido synthetase gene family GH3. Analysis of auxin metabolites in DAO1-downregulated cells revealed an oxidation of IAA amino acid conjugates as a new role of DAO1. Next, downregulation of tobacco gene GH3.6d caused a significant drop in glutamin conjugated forms of IAA.
