Project results evaluation
Saccharides carry enormous information potential that is much wider compared to other biomolecules. Proteins that bind saccharides with high specificity are called lectins. These are involved in many key biological processes. In the framework of this project, we have prepared and characterized several lectins by measuring their affinity to selected saccharides.
