    Methods for analyzing pyrosequencing data have been optimized in the frame of the project. These are suitable for the studies of taxonomic and metabolic diversity of environmental bacteria. Using this methodology along with contaminant concentration assays we found out that biostimulation of certain indigenous microbiota can result in increased degradation rates of PCBs.
