Entomopathogenic and molluscopathogenic nematodes (Nematoda), faunistic studies, identification and aplication of nematodes against insect pest for mushroom control.
Project goals
Project involves study of insect/mollusc nematodes in Czech Republic and China. Main goals represent isolation of important nematode species, including new species important for biological control of insectmullusc pests. Chinese partner submit a possibility for using these nematodes in mushroom farms against larvae of flies from the families Phoridae and Cecidomyidae.

Entomopatogenní a moluskopatogenní hlístice (Nematoda), studium fauny, determinace a aplikace nematodů pro ochranu produkce žampionů před hmyzími škůdci.

Project results evaluation
The project ME 10078 was focused on collection and life-cycles of entomo- and moluscopathogenic nematodes in the Czech Republic and China. Morphological and DNA studies resulted in description of Heterorhabditis beicherriana, Steinernema ethiopiense andOscheius chongmingensis. Seven scientic papers was published in impacted foreign journals.
