Project results evaluation
The project was focused on the exploitation of waste lignocellulose materials as feedstock for production of 2nd generation of bioethanol. The biomass pretreatment and enzyme hydrolysis of cellulose have been optimized to gain maximum yield of fermentable sugars. The suitable microbial producers of bioethanol have been selected and fed-batch SSF process has been designed.
