Numerické modelování koherentních struktur v kosmickém plazmatu.

Cílem projektu je interpretace hkoherntních struktur pozorovaných v zemské magnetoobálce (magnetická minia, maxima afilamenty). K řešení tohoto problému použijeme dvou komplementárních přístupů:numerické simulace Vlasovovy rovnice hybridním kódem a současně numrické simulace Landauovským kódem vyvinutém v Nice.

Project results evaluation
We compared the nonlinear evolution of the mirror instability in simulations with asymptotic a quasilinear models (paper in Editors' Highlights). Simulations of Alfvén-wave filamentation exhibit a good agreement with theoretical predictions.
