Time-resolved terahertz spectroscopy

Project goals

Experimental methods of time-resolved terahertz spectroscopy will be used for studying ultrafast dynamics of photoexcited charge carriers in semiconducting materials, the properties of which were modified with respect to standard materials by specific growth conditions or by irradiation. This will provide a feedback for the technology of semiconductor structure growth with the aim to propose and realize a broadband photoconducting emitter and detector for the THz spectral domain which will be steerableon optical wavelength of 1 to 1.5 micrometers.

    Budou použity experimentální metody časově rozlišené terahertzové spektroskopie pro studium ultrarychlé dynamiky fotoexcitovaných nositelů náboje v polovodičových materiálech, jejichž vlastnosti byly modifikovány oproti standardním materiálům specifickými podmínkami růstu nebo ozářením. Jedná se o zpětnou vazbu pro technologii růstu polovodičových struktur s cílem navrhnout a realizovat širokopásmový fotovodivý emitor a detektor pro THz spektrální oblast, jejž bude možno řídit na optických vlnových délkách 1 až 1,5 mikrometru.
