Transport and stability in periodically driven systems with applications to the quantum Hall effect.

Project goals

A study of the dynamics of periodically driven quantum systems. The goals are to prove the existence of a charge transport for systems driven by a periodically time-dependent Aharonov-Bohm flux in the resonant case, and to derive sufficient conditions onthe external force that would guarantee stability of the Floquet operator in the nonresonant case.

Alternative language

  • Project name in Czech

Transport a stabilita v systémech s periodickou vnější silou s aplikacemi na kvantový Hallův jev.

  • Project results evaluation

A quantum model of a Hydrogen atom in a thin planar slab has been analyzed. A resonance acceleration has been studied, on the classical and quantum level, for a charged particle in a uniform magnetic field and driven by an oscillating Aharonov-Bohm flux.
