Study of nanofibrous materials and their usage for composite producing and carbonization

Project goals

The project is devoted to studying and producing of nanofiber materials and their following treatment. The studied nanofiber materials will be mainly carbon nanotubes - both single walled nanotubes (SWNTs) and multi walled nanotubes (MWNTs), electrospunnanofiber materials and composite electrospun nanofiber materials containing carbon nanotubes. The production of different types of electrospun nanofiber materials and mainly of composite electrospun nanofiber materials with carbon nanotubes will be thefirst part of the project. The treatment of all above mentioned nanofiber materials will be the other part of our research. It will be divided into two parts: studying of nanofibrous materials (mainly carbon nanotubes) for composite materials production;carbonization of electrospun nanofiber materials and composite electrospun nanofiber materials.
