Vulnerability and Risk Analysis of Urban Water Infrastructure
Project goals
The main objective of this project is to define and improve the current knowledge gaps and methods development for risk analysis and vulnerability assessment of urban water infrastructure. The complete life-cycle will be comprised of e.g. planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance and rehabilitation of this infrastructure from aspect of potential hazards and vulnerability including the possibility of implementation/application of innovative technologies (modelling, real time measurement andcontrol, early warning, ...). The risk analysis for water supply will be solved for quantitative aspects (risk analysis of non-provision of required amount of water supply in the given time) and qualitative aspects (risk analysis of non-provision of water supply of required quality defined by relevant legislation, guidelines and standards). Analýza zranitelnosti a rizik systémů městské infrastruktury

Hlavním cílem projektu je definovat a popsat současné mezery ve znalostech a další vývoj metodiky provádění rizikové analýzy a posuzování zranitelnosti městské vodohospodářské infrastruktury. Projekt zahrne celý cyklus plánování, návrhu, konstrukce, řízení, údržby a obnovy těchto sítí s ohledem na potenciální nebezpečí a zranitelnost, včetně možnosti implementace/použití inovativních technologií (modelování, řízení v reálném čase, systémy včasné detekce.) Riziková analýza systémů zásobování vodou bude řešena z pohledu kvantitativního (riziko nedodání vody v požadovaném množství v daném čase) a kvalitativního (riziko nesplnění kvalitativních parametrů jak je definuje platná legislativa a předpisy). Riziková analýza stokových systémů bude zaměřena na provozní spolehlivost celého systému včetně řízení poruchovosti stokových sítí (infiltrace, exfiltrace, ucpávání a poruchy), čerpací stanice a oddělovací komory do recipientů.

The outputs of the project are the exchange of knowledge in risk analysis in water sector and. excursions on water supply infrastructure. The Bilateral Agreement under the programme S/E has been signed also and common preparation of the new project proposals (Tempus IV, CEEBI) started.
