Advanced systems for energy storage in Li-ion batteries

Project goals

Development of new systems for energy storage in lithium-ion batteries, where new electrode materials together with polymer electrolytes will be employed. Project will be based on knowledge exchange and cooperation of researchers and will be strongly oriented on application and cooperation with Slovenian and Czech industry.

    New materials for safer lithium-ion batteries were developed and studied. A functional combination of Li2FeSiO4 and graphite electrodes with ionic liquids was found assembling a 3V non-flammable and environmentally friendly battery.
