Plasma diagnostics with emissive and Langmuir probes

Project goals

The main objective of the proposed project will be to gather as much experimental data with probes as possible and to improve the techniques for probe measurements and data analysis and to complement this also with theoretical models and computer simulations. The results will be published in journals like Contributions to Plasma Physics, European Physical Journal D, Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion, Physics of Plasmas, IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, Journal of Physics D: Appl. Phys., Plasma Sources, Science and Technology and on scientific conferences. Another important goal of the project will be the exchange of Ph.D students (this project combined with the CEEPUS network and EURATOM fusion mobility) who will in this way get the opportunityto gather experimental experience and knowledge on various types of plasma devices.

Hlavním cílem projektu bude získání dostatečného množství experimentálních dat, zdokonalení techniky sondových měření a analýzy dat a podle možnosti toto doplnit teoretickými modely a počítačovými simulacemi. Výsledky budou publikovány v impaktovaných zahraničních vědeckých časopisech jako Contributions to Plasma Physics, European Physical Journal D, Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion, Physics of Plasmas, IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, Journal of Physics D: Appl. Phys., Plasma Sources, Science and Technology a na vědeckých konferencích. Dalším cílem projektu je výměna Ph.D studentů (v kombinaci s projekty CEEPUS a EURATOM), kteří budou mít tímto způsobem možnost získat experimentální dovednosti a znalosti na různých typech plazmatických zařízení.
