Hlavním cílem projektu je využití metod pozitronové anihilace k strukturní charakterizaci a výzkumu chování defektů ve vybraných epitaxních a polykrystalických kovových filmech připravených v rozdílných podmínkách a deponovaných na vhodných substrátech.V roce 2011 (1. rok) budou studovány filmy Mg a Ti, zatímco v roce 2012 (2. rok) bude prováděn výzkum filmů V a Gd.
