Role of heme oxygenase in the pathogenesis of hepatocelular injury in chronic HCV infection

Project goals

In the presented project, the role of hemooxygenase 1 and 2 in the procesess associated with fibroproduction in the chronic HCV infection will be studied. Hemooxygenase expression will be evaluated by the techniques of molecular genetics and immunohistochemistry, both in the liver tissue and in peripheral blood mononuclear cells. These parameters will be correlated with basic virological and clinical characteristics of the chronic HCV infection. Our expected results may help understanding the mechanismsof fibroproduction in chronic HVC infection and, therefore, contribute to explain individual differences in the development of chronic HCV infection.

Role hemoxygenázy v patogenezi jaterního poškození u chronické HCV infekce

  • Annotation in Czech

V projektu bude studována role hemoxygenázy 1 a 2 v procesech spojených s fibroprodukcí při chronické HCV infekci. Exprese hemoxygenázy bude zkoumána metodami molekulárně genetickými a imunohistochemickými jak v jaterní tkáni, tak i mononukleárních buňkách periferní krve. tyto parametry budou korelovány se základními virologickými a klinickými charakteristikami chronické HCV infekce. Očekávané výsledky mohou napomoci pochopení mechanismů fibroprodukce při chronické HCV infekci a tím mohou napomoci i objasnění přičin velkých individuálních rozdílů v průběhu HCV infekce.
