The prevalence of HPV infections in the vaccinated population of women in the Czech Repuublic

Project goals

Monitoring of prevalence of HPV types in vaccinal population of Czech women. Ascertainment of the past, incident and persistent HPV infection of cervix uteri - detection of HPV DNA in cervical smear and type-specific antibodies against vaccinal HPV typesin blood. Monitoring of the vaccine efficacy for the protection of a consequent infection with vaccinal or closely related types and of possible occurrence of atypical findings or lesions on cervix uteri in women infected immediately before they received the first dose of the vaccine.
