  • Annotation in Czech

Následně validujeme panel miRNA, který umožní komfortnější neinvazivní detekci obou typů rejekce srdečního štěpu, bez nutnosti ekonomicky i technicky náročné invazivní diagnostiky.

The goal of the project was to develop new RNA-based tools for non-invasive detection of rejection in patients after heart transplantation. The study identified profiles of miRNA expression that were associated with acute cellular rejection and examined dynamics of these sequences in peripheral circulation. Authors also tried to identify miRNA signatures in urine of Tx patients and in peripheral leukocytes, without major success. Authors were also able to identify several miRNA that might be associated with presence of coronary vasculopathy and antibody-mediated rejection. The main drawback of the project are relatively small cohorts. The results provide some advancement in the field and may help to design future experiments aiming at non-invasive detection of rejection.
