Project results evaluation
The authors have demonstrated the relatively rare presence of plasmid-linked colistin resistance genes in hospitalized patients and healthy individuals with and without a travel history. On the contrary, they found its higher prevalence in meat and meat products of both domestic and foreign production. This fact indicates a potential risk to consumers. The result of the project is a narrower definition of risk groups within our population, for which it is necessary to consider the implementation of preventive screening for the occurrence of the above-described resistance to colistin. All the main objectives of the original project application were met at a high level. As a result of the project, six original articles, some of which are in Q1 or even D1 of the research field according to WoS, have been published. The total impact factor of all publications is approaching 30 and both qualitatively and quantitatively the authors have surpassed the original publication plan. In addition, t
