Numerical solution of viscous flows

Project goals

The project deals with numerical solution of 3D viscous and (partly) inviscid flows: a) 2D and 3D transonic flows through a cascade or over a profile (a wing) based on inviscid model (Euler equations) of transonic flows or viscous (laminar) model of Navier-Stokes equations; b) 2D and 3D impinging (or free) turbulent jet flows based on a system of Reynolds averaged incompressible Navier-Stokes equations and turbulence modelling (algebraic, k-L, k -e) model; c) 3D atmospheric boundary layer flows: based on incompressible Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations. We consider turbulent flows with behavior of pallotants and computation field of temperature. Numerical part is based on finite volume methods (a,b) or finite difference method (c) and modern TVD,ENO or semiimplicit or implicit schemes.
