Struktura, rozlišení a zpracování poškození DNA protinádorově účinnými sloučeninami kovů
Annotation in Czech
Budou získány poznatky o strukturních a biochemických vlastnostech DNA modifikované protinádorově účinnými komplexy platiny a ruthenia. Tyto poznatky budou využity ke zpřesnění vztahů mezi strukturou a farmakologickou aktivitou metalofarmak.

Project results evaluation
Molecular mechanisms underlying antitumor effects of new transition metal-based complexes, namely platinum and ruthenium complexes have been described. These complexes belong to the new generation of promising anticancer metallodrugs which exhibit antitumor effects in tumor cells resistant to conventional cisplatin and its analogues in clinical use.
