    Within the project we have demonstrated (i) the crucial role of prostaglandins in the mechanism of action of long chain omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (LC n-3 PUFA) on the metabolism of adipose tissue and liver, and (ii) that LC n-3 PUFA inhibit proliferation of fat cells in dietary obese mice.
