Plasmonic nanostructures and functionalizations for optical affinity biosensors
Project goals
This project focuses on research of metal-dielectric (nano)structures with guided and localised surface plasmons and biospecific coatings with non-fouling properties enabling development of novel surface plasmon-based sensors for detection of chemical and biological substances in complex matrices.

Project results evaluation
The project focuses on research of surface plasmons, photonic platforms and molecular functionalizations for novel optical biosensors. In this he project, novel optical sensors based on excitation of surface plasmons were developed. These sensors were functionalized with selected biomolecular recognition elements and used to detect selected biological substances.
