High tibial osteotomy is a well - established treatment or prophylaxis for femorotibial osteoarthritis in the knee. A variety of methods had been described. These methods include acute correction of the deformity with various open wedge, closed wedge, oblique or dome shaped osteotomy with a number of different fixation techniques.
