Project results evaluation
We have changed the composition of the diet of laboratory mice and rats kept in barrier husbandry conditions, and have added natural cellulose (1.5%), with no impact on the intestinal villi or on lactobacilli in the large intestine. This change has improved the pellets? quality and reduced the amount of crumbling. The higher dietary standard ensures that the animals are of the required quality.
