The result of the project is the design of detection equipment for unattended platforms for monitoring the radiation situation, e.g. for radiation survey, monitoring and searching for sources of ionizing radiation in a large and remote area. For the purpose of in situ measurements, with a view to use on a carrier platform, a portable spectrometer has been developed which, in combination with the selected detector, forms a working sample of a detection system for unattended systems. Commercial detection probes, encapsulated scintillation crystals and experimental samples of other standard and newly developed scintillation crystals were tested. Among the devices tested were one semiconductor detector and three Geiger-Müller tubes.
