Project goals

Presented in the presentation on Industrial Workshop 99, Swansea, UK are the effects of each Nd:YAG harmonic on the ablation process when applied to polymer-coated and un-coated foil target. The depth and shape of the craters have been analysed using optical microscopy. The experiments were carried out with international cooperation between the applicant and BNFL plc, Sellafield UK and University of Wales Swansea, Department of Physics, Swansea, UK.
