The differentiation of Potato Virus S (PVS) and the identification of isolates of quarantine significance by means of molecular diagnostic techniques.

Project goals

The working collection of Potato Virus S (PVS) isolates will be created from domestic as well as foreign sources and maintained at in vitro conditions. Isolates of this collection will be characterised by means biological and molecular techniques. The isolates of quarantine significance and their possible occurrence will be further differentiated using new developed procedures. The results will be utilised in the work of Plant Protection Serevice in Czech Republic.
