Preparation and using of composts based on digestate, biomass incinerator ash and biodegradable waste
Project goals
The aim of the project is to obtain knowledge of optimization of raw material composition of composts with fundamental part of secondary products (ash and digestate) and biodegradable waste. According to this knowledge to suggest and test optimal technological procedures of composting these materials, when the composts with required qualitative indicators and defined content of nutrients will be produced. The subsequent aim is to suggest and test an effective way of technological application of these innovative organic fertilizers on farmland according to its agrochemical properties. The economical aim is to evaluate the production and application costs of the composts and to compare these costs with obtained yields of field crops. Evaluate economic benefit of application composts on cereals, fodder plants and energy crops. Then to asses yield from processing biodegradable waste and on using organic fertilizers instead of mineral fertilizers. And also to make a model of sustainable process of using biomass in connection with composting technology with closed cycle returning organic matter and nutrients into soil on organic farm.

Příprava a využití kompostů na bázi digestátu, popele ze spalování biomasy a BRO

Cílem projektu je získat znalosti o optimalizaci složení surovinové skladby zakládek kompostu s významným podílem vedlejších produktů (popela a digestátu) a BRO. Na základě těchto znalostí navrhnout a ověřit nejvhodnější technologické postupy kompostování uvedených surovin, při kterých budou vyráběny komposty požadovaných jakostních znaků a definovaných obsahů živin. Následným cílem je navrhnout a ověřit efektivní způsob technologické aplikace těchto inovativních organických hnojiv na zemědělskou půdu podle agrochemických vlastností. Ekonomickým cílem projektu je vyhodnotit náklady vynaložené na výrobu a aplikaci kompostu a porovnat je se získanými výnosy jednotlivých plodin. Vyhodnotit ekonomický přínos aplikace kompostu na obilovinách, pícninách a energetických rostlinách. Dále posoudit výnos ze zpracování BRO a použití kompostu oproti minerálním hnojivům. Na závěr projektu je naplánováno vytvořit model trvale udržitelného procesu energetického využití biomasy ve spojení s technologií kompostování s uzavřeným koloběhem navracení organické hmoty a minerálních prvků do půdy na ekologické farmě.

Project results evaluation
The aim of the project was to acquire knowledge on optimisation of raw materials for compost composition and based on this knowledge to propose and verify the most suitable technological procedures for composting the referred to raw materials, based on which composts of required quality and defined nutrient content will be produced, namely including the proposal and verification of efficient method of technological application. This objective has been accomplished by the obtained results. Elaborated as a result was the model of sustainable process of biomass use in composts (two verified technologies) and utility models of organic fertilisers as well as the methodology of subsequent application of compost on soil. The results were published and translated into practice. Upon proposal of investigators, one of the D type results was replaced with one Jsc type result which was executed beyond the scope of the original plan.
