Hodnocení rizika poškození lesních porostů větrem: vývoj a kalibrace národního prediktivního modelu
Annotation in Czech
Vypracovat nové postupy a systémy opatření v lesním hospodářství, diferencovaně podle intenzity hospodaření, na podporu biodiverzity druhové skladby a odolnosti vůči extrémním vlivům počasí a klimatickým změnám a pro podporu retenčních schopností lesních ekosystémů.

Project results evaluation
The planned number of outputs was met. The most important aspect is the application allowing, based on the several easily ascertainable parameters, to make estimates of the critical wind speed that would cause damage to the stand. This application is downloadable on the "Forestry portal“ of the CULS (http://www.lesniportal.cz/geoaplikace/) and is available to the professional as well as general public. It can be used by forest mensuration offices in creation of forest management plans, by forest owners in forest management, by the Forest Management Institute for regional planning (regional plans of forest development), but also by nature conservation authorities, network infrastructure administrators, fire rescue services etc. The application contains lots of information on damage caused by wind and forest protection procedures, and thus represents also a practical handbook for selection of appropriate windfall prevention procedures.
