Applied molecular genetics and biology - IMG

Project goals

The objective of this project is to establish, at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the AS CR, v. v. i. (IMG), an infrastructure for effective transfer of new research and development (R&D) results, based on public resources, into practical applications. The project also aims supporting closer cooperation of IMG with commercial companies and providing a continuous source of R&D outputs at IMG, resulting in innovations with commercialization potential. Objective of the project is to strengthen economic performance of the Institute and installation of self-support system for financing of proof-of-concept verification efforts after termination of the project.

    Cílem tohoto projektu je vytvořit na Ústavu molekulární genetiky AV ČR, v.v.i. (ÚMG) infrastrukturu pro efektivní transfer nových poznatků VaV, vzniklých z veřejných zdrojů, do praktických aplikací. Cílem je rovněž etablování cest užší spolupráce pracovišť ÚMG s podniky a zajištění kontinuální tvorby výsledků VaV na ÚMG vedoucích k inovacím s potenciálem jejich komercializace. Jedná se především o ověření aplikačního potenciálu nových výsledků VaV před jejich možným využitím v praxi (tzv. „proof-of-concept stage“). Cílem projektu je posílit ekonomickou výkonnost ústavu a zavedení systému soběstačnosti při financování „proof-of-concept“ projektů po skončení tohoto projektu.
