In passenger cars, there are a number of components that are made of flammable materials. Knowing the fire technical characteristics of flammable parts of the vehicle is important information when investigating the causes of fires. These data are also useful for mathematical modelling of fires. This paper describes the material composition of non-metallic parts of the vehicle. Measured data of heat resistance of materials on a cone calorimeter and the flammability value are summarised. Differential scanning calorimetry was used to describe the behaviour of materials during heating. The measured data are processed into a database of fire technical characteristics of automobiles components.
