Original language description
Fire protection units use detectors to determine the risk of an explosive environment when surveying and monitoring hazardous substances at the scene. To increase the service life of the sensor, it is recommended to install a filter upstream that performs a protective function. The aim of the paper is to describe the effect of a pre-filter when measuring the concentration limit of explosiveness and to verify that the sensor is sensitive to the full range of substances measured. The main aim of the tests is to verify that the pre-filter does not affect the determination of the lower explosion limit and does not capture selected higher hydrocarbons. Their functionality and service life were also verified.
