The practical experiences with the rescue of archival materials damaged by flood in Prague in 2002 were discussed in this lecture. The main topic of this lecture was the description of drying method of wet or frozen records. The results of the scientifical study of the influence of drying methods to the physico-chemical properties of paper were also presented.
