Investigation of Zn-PTFE composite coatings
Original language description
This paper is focused on completely new technology of surface treatment development and the aim is to obtain lubricant composite coating of zinc with PTFE particles. Characterisation of applied coatings is necessary for understanding of tribological andcorrosion properties and it requires the development of reliable methods to determine the coatings´ composition, PTFE content, and its distribution in the composite coatings. The particles distribution in the composite coatings was examined with infraredspectroscopy (FTIR), electron spectroscopy for chemical analysis (ESCA), and optical microscopy. Improvement of tribological properties was verified by measurement of coefficient of friction.
