Generation of air perturbations in wind tunnel
Original language description
This article describes simulation of air perturbations namely wind shear, wind gust and wake vortex in wind tunnel. The cue for these experiments originates from Green Wake project of which VZLU is a participant. Green Wake deals with a development of anairborne LIDAR system for detection of air disturbances in clear air conditions. The mission of VZLU in this project was to simulate these phenomena in order to consequently validate LIDAR system in wind tunnel. All above mentioned perturbations were induced in wind tunnel and the process is described in this article. The goal of the experiments was to verify the possibility of their simulation in wind tunnel and to obtain sufficient reference experience for further LIDAR system validation.
