Damage tolerance analysis of a complex aircraft part
Original language description
The purpose of this paper is to describe the application of an analytical and numerical technique for the analysis of global structure. The prediction and assessment of fatigue crack propagation in real engineering structures and components must considerrealistic boundary conditions. The article compared the application of the FASTRAN retardation model with a load sequence simulating the real operation of an aircraft structure. Stress state analysis is performed using FEM numerical simulation of the global FEM model, including the boundary conditions around the failure investigation.
