    Experimental characterization of strain gauges for high-temperature applications

  • Original language description

    The article deals with a characterization of properties and behaviour of resistive strain gauges intended for high-temperature measurement up to 1000 °C. Vishay ZC-series strain gauges are examples of a few commercionally available products, with the advantage of favourable date of delivery. On the other hand, the common high-temperature material used for their grids causes a high apparent strain effect for the single grid gauges. That is why the strain gauges equipped with a thermal compensation structure were in our interest as well. Other testing was focused on the value of gauge factor depending on temperature.
