Validation of ALADIN-Climate/CZ for Present Climate (1961-1990) over the Czech Republic

Two present climate simulations of the regional climate model ALADIN-Climate/CZ differing in their lateral forcing (ERA-40 re-analysis and GCM ARPEGE-Climat) were taken to assess the model's ability to reproduce the main patterns of the climate in the Czech Republic.The model was compared to a newly developed gridded dateset of station observations. Air temperature (mean, maximum, minimum) and precipitation were investiagted.
