Inverse modeling of emissions in high resolution
Original language description
The result was a poster presented at the International Workshop on Air Quality Forecasting Research (IWAQFR 2010) in Quebec City, 16. - 18.11. 2010. Summary: Most studies performing inverse modeling of emissions by means of 4DVar have been done for global models or mesoscale models with coarse horizontal resolution until now. As the method advances towards its application in operational forecasting and in policy making, the resolution of the model needs to be finer. This demand brings a whole range of new problems which need to be solved. Here we work with the CMAQ model and its adjoint to model NO2 and O3 concentration on the area of the Czech Republic.
