Spatial Variability of 2003 Hydrological Drought in the Dyje and Vltava River Basins
Original language description
In 2008, scientists from T. G. Masaryk Water Research Institute and Hydrology Division at the Czech hydrometeorological Institute started to cooperate in study of hydrological drought in the Czech Republic. One of the most important aims of the group isto analyze the spatial variability of several drought events in this country that occurred during the period of instrumental measuring. The results are presented in maps showing two celected catchments (the Dyje River and the upper course of the Vltava River) with special focus on extreme drought event in 2003.
