    New extrapolation method COTREC EXT was developed in the CHMI as a modification of currently operationally used COTREC method. The COTREC EXT utilizes forecasts from ALADIN NWP model and Extended CZRAD composites. Preliminary evaluation results show applicability potential of the COTREC EXT. Important improvement of Czech precipitation nowcasting system is also 5 minute update of calculation of radar based QPEs/QPFs and its monitoring in JSWarnView.
