We have analyzed the results of phenological observations of wild trees in the Czech Republic in the years 1941?2011. Our results showed that the statistically significant warming trend since 1941 resulted in an earlier onset of the first flowering and beginning of leaf colouring of wild trees. The strongest trend to early arrival in spring was measured for the first flowering of the rowan for the period between 1941 and 2011 with over 16 days. Birch leaves have also changed colour somewhat earlier overthe past 70 years.
