Scaling of low flows in Czechia
Original language description
This is an extended abstract related to the poster presentation exhibited during the EGU Leonardo Conference 2014 held in Prague. Scaling properties of series encompassing 7-day low flows in Czechia were investigated by combining the unit root tests andthe estimation of the Hurst exponent. Besides annual 7-day low flows, similar series corresponding to the summer and winter periods along with the timing series were assessed. Moreover, the series composed of deficit volumes and their durations were taken into account. It was found that the scaling behaviour may be expected in the southwest and northeast parts of Czechia. The winter period seems to be less affected. The results should be helpful when performing a trend analysis regarding these series.
