Hydrological response of mountain catchments during rain-on-snow events
Original language description
This is an abstract related to the oral presentation that took place during the EGU2019 General Assembly. Basically, it is a continuation of the research into the rain-on-snow (ROS) processes occurring in 15 river basins in selected mountain ranges located in Czechia. Over 110 ROS events were derived based on hourly meteorological and hydrological time series. Subsequently, they were categorized into three groups: 1) ROS causing no hydrological response (28%), 2) ROS causing intermediate increases in runoff (61%) and 3) ROS causing substantial increases in runoff (11%).
