Hemispherical photography is one of the methods used for indirect estimation of the light condition of the forest stand. As an response to the theoretical introduction to this method based on the literature overview, natural regeneration of beech on thebeech with spruce research plot in the Krkonoše Mts. (0.25 ha) was studied. Horizontal and vertical pattern of the parent stand was measured; state of the natural regeneration (number per m2, heights and 2 increments) was investigated in the regular grid5 x 5 m. Light conditions were evaluated with the Gap Light Analyser software using the method of hemispherical photography. Positive correlation of the canopy openness (and other light parameters) and mean height, mean height increment and number of seedlings in the measure points was found, but the relationship was not significant.

Možnosti využití hemisferické fotografie při hodnocení podmínek pro přirozenou obnovu ? přehled metodiky a předběžné výsledky případové studie

Hemisferická fotografie je jednou z metod využitelných pro nepřímé posouzení světelných podmínek v lesních porostech. V návaznosti na literární přehled problematiky týkající se této metody byla v této práci hodnocena přirozená obnova buku v smrkobukovémporostu v Krkonoších (0,25 ha). Byla proměřena struktura mateřského porostu a v pravidelné síti 5 x 5 m vyhodnocen stav přirozené obnovy (počty semenáčků na m2, průměrné výšky, průměrné přírůsty). Světelné podmínky byly odečteny z hemisferických fotografií za pomocí programu Gap Light Analyse. Byl zjištěn pozitivní vztah mezi otevřeností zápoje (i dalšími světelnými parametry) a střední výškou, středním výškovým přírůstem a počtem semenáčků v jednotlivých měřených bodech, tento vztah však nebyl průkazný.
