Original language description
The micropropagation of wych elm (Ulmus glabra), smooth elm (U. minor), and European white elm (U. laevis) by means of the organogenesis has been established with the aim to provide material for breeding forestry programs. The dormant buds of 15 clones from each elm species from 40 - 80 years old trees were collected in February. The excised apical meristems from dormant buds were cultured in modified Murashige and Skoog medium with 0.2. mg l-1 of benzylaminopurine, 0.1 mg l-1, ß-indolebutyric acid under white fluorescent light (30 ?mol.m-2.sec-1) with 16 hrs photoperiod, 24 oC for 4 - 6 weeks.

Czech description
Mikropropagace jilmů (Ulmus glabra, U. minor a U. laevis) pomocí organogeneze byla vypracována s cílem získat material pro šlechtitelské programy .Dormantní pupeny 15 klonů od každého druhuze 40až 80 let starých jedinců byly sbírány v únoru.Vypreparovanýapikální meristém z dormantních pupenů byl kultivován na modifikovaném MS médiu obohaceném 0.2. mg l-1 of benzylaminopurinu a 0.1 mg l-1, ß-indolmáselné kyseliny . Kultivace probíhala při umělém osvětlení o intenzitě (30 ?mol.m-2.sec-1)při teplotě, 24 oC po dobu r 4 - 6 týdnů.
