Structure and potential production of young successional forest stands dominated by pioneer species
Original language description
Young naturally regenerated clearcuts in altitudes from 275 to 460 m a.s.l. dominated by pioneer species were analysed especially in the northeastern part of the Bohemia, Czech Republic. The clearcuts originated by illegal fellings and/or natural disasters (wind). Circle inventory plots of 0.01 ha were regularly placed in a network with spacing from 10 to 20 m chosen with respect to forest stand variability and clearcut area. Above-ground biomass was defined from sample trees.
