Adequate silviculture management of silver fir stands in the Czech Republic
Original language description
In the Czech Republic, silver fir shifted from historically one of main commercial to usually neglected species during the 20th century. On the other hand, forest area occupied by silver fir slowly, but continually increased in the last decade. Therefore, request from practitioners for adequate management system based on new research knowledge and practical examples are evident. The presented project (based also on established experimental base) is expected to contribute to the solution of this problem. Recommendations based on the results are to be transferred to stakeholders.
