Možnosti hodnocení vlivu sucha na zdravotní stav lesních porostů v České republice

  • Original language description

Drought does not only act as a direct stress factor in forest ecosystems, but also influences the forest secondarily as a driver of disturbance agents. Due to the heterogeneity of forest ecosystems, it is difficult to identify on a large scale the stands that have been damaged by drough. One approach to detect damaged forest stands is to use remote sensing data to assess changes in the vitality of forest stands based on changes in spectral vegetation index values. The maps of drought in forest stands, which are derived from maps of the current moisture balance, can be used to identify stands potentially threatened by drought.
